Flamboyant Eyadini owner Thamsanqa Zama has died – reports

Popular KwaZulu-Natal shisanyama owner Thamsanqa Jabulani Zama, fondly known as Jigga Money, has passed away, according to unconfirmed reports.

Reports say Zama, who owned the Eyadini Lounge in Umlazi township, southwest of Durban, passed away on Saturday evening.

The family, which has not issued a statement confirming Zama’s death yet, said on Saturday afternoon the establishment will be temporarily closed.

The family said the establishment will remain shut until Zama has recovered from a severe stroke.

“We are saddened to announce that our founder Jabulani Thamsanqa Zama has suffered a severe stroke,” said the family in a statement on Saturday.

“Due to his health condition and road to recovery, Eyadini Lounge will be temporarily closed until further notice.

“His family asks for your prayers during these trying times.”

Zama owned and managed the entertainment lounge that he established in 2008 and is famous for hosting socialites, politicians and celebrities from around the country.
