Kwara Kekana, the spokesperson for the department of health in Gauteng, is leaving, health MEC Dr Nomathemba Mokgethi announced on Thursday morning.
“Ms Kekana was very instrumental in communicating health programmes and services to communities, especially at the start of the Covid-19 pandemic,” said Mokgethi.
“I would like to thank Kekana for her dedication and service to the people of Gauteng.”
Kwara has been with the department since 2019, she first worked as the spokesperson in the office of the MEC. Mokgethi said she would announce the new spokesperson in due course.
Mokgethi added that Kekana served the office of the MEC and the department exceptionally well in the three years she had been in the employ of the provincial department.
