Charmza of the week

The Standing Committee on Public Accounts (Scopa) this week grilled Public Enterprises Minister Pravin Gordhan and asked him all the tough questions about the allegations of deep-seated malfeasance made by former Eskom CEO André de Ruyter.

DA’s Scopa member Alf Lees, a fearless Gordhan critique, has previously accused the minister of showing parliament “the middle finger” for refusing to share all documentation about the sale of the majority stake in SAA.

Lees was back at it on Wednesday, holding Gordhan accountable for De Ruyter’s shenanigans, and he had nowhere to hide.
