Former president Thabo Mbeki is a likeable man. But he is also a man of great courage and wisdom. Fearless.
This week, he met the ANC’s top seven national officials after he wrote a scathing letter for the attention of Deputy President Paul Mashatile. Looking them in the eye, he asked “why do you lack the guts to confront your president, Cyril Ramaphosa? Look him in the eye; ask him: ‘Chief, what’s going on at Phala Phala?’”
South Africans need courageous men and women to confront evil and injustice wherever they rear their ugly heads.
