There were institutions birthed at the dawn of our democratic dispensation meant to always re-centre the nation to the ideals the founding fathers and mothers had of a South African founded on freedom and justice for all.
One such Chapter 9 institution is the SA Human Rights Commission (SAHRC), which as the name suggests, is mandated to fight rights abuse brought to its attention.
We doff our hats off to the SAHRC for promptly taking the fight to the racist DA MP Renaldo Gouws by instigating proceedings against him in the Equality Court in Gqeberha for the racial utterances he allegedly made in a video.
