This week two places of contrasting fortunes were united by one problem – lack of water. Super rich Sandton joined the poor residents of Petsana, Free State.
Petsana residents say their taps have been dry for a long time and yet water tankers have water. One would think their Nketoana municipality struggles to provide water.
But if Nketoana can afford to pay R198 029 for water tanker services in two months, then it can afford to lay out and maintain the infrastructure.
And what is Johannesburg’s excuse for its failures in Sandton? It all points to moegoes being in charge of municipalities.
