The long-standing dispute between local truck and cargo drivers and the relevant government departments regarding the employment of foreign drivers is nauseating, to say the least.
Despite the ongoing engagements, the protesters still deem it fit to continue blocking main arterial roads, the latest being the busy N3 down in KwaZulu-Natal. The protesters must understand that blockading key cargo routes is tantamount to economic sabotage and is a criminal offence. It won’t be tolerated, no matter how genuine their grievances might be.
