News that ANC MP Boy Mamabolo has got history of violence against his baby saw a flurry of reaction on Twitter with politicians weighing on the matter.
Ekurhuleni mayor and ANC chairperson in the region Mzwandile Masina wrote on his tweet:
“I’ve just read a disturbing story on the front page of @sundayworld and I’m asking myself where is President of the ANCWL Mme Bathabile Dlamini @shahlesonke? It will be interesting to see the reaction.”
He was reacting to a front page story in the Sunday World that exposed the hypocrisy of Mamabolo who hogged headlines this week when he accused EFF leader Julius Malema of abusing his wife.
Former EFF treasurer Leigh Mathys took exception to the response given by ANC Chief Whip to Sunday World regarding allegations of abuse against Mamabolo.
She tweeted: “Did @ANCParliament Chief Whip Penny Majodima actually respond to the allegations saying that he was not an MP at the time ????????♀️????????♀️

“As for Pule Mabe, politicians are now going to use the newly discovered words eg ‘weaponsing’ to avoid accountability,” she wrote.
President Cyril Ramaphosa called out Mamabolo for using domestic violence to settle political scores with his one time friend, turned nemesis, Malema.
