Tiger Woods will not compete in next month’s US Open while he recovers from recent surgery, the major tournament’s organisers said on Monday.
The US Open runs from June 15 to 18 at Los Angeles Country Club in California.
The 15-time major winner has been hampered by injuries over the past few years and is still in recovery after undergoing an ankle surgery. Last month, Woods withdrew from the Masters.
Woods, who won the US Open three times, did not participate in this month’s PGA Championship, the year’s second major.
In 2021, Woods was involved in a car crash that required his leg to be rebuilt.
