Johannesburg- South African opposing political party, Economic Freedom Fighters’ Commander in Chief (CIC), Julius Malema is expected to visit different restaurants today.
This comes after Malema said that the employment ratio is a concern of theirs as a political party and they want to ensure that locals are prioritised while fellow Africans get a fair share of employment.
In a social media post from the party’s social media account, it is said that the message should not be distorted, the EFF is not fighting foreign nationals, but protecting them.
“The visit will consist of an interaction between the CIC and the management of these restaurants, to check their labour policies, staff compliment and ensure that our fellow Africans are not exploited, and locals are employed to the satisfactory level,” the statement read.
Malema is expected to start the visit at the Mall of Africa and tomorrow will be heading a picket that demands the opening of stadiums to the public.

We want locals to be prioritized for employment, however this DOES NOT mean that we are fighting against employment of other Africans. #MalemaRestaurantVisit pic.twitter.com/vpAWUweMHq
