Actor and television personality Moshe Ndiki plans to take Mzansi with him on his journey of fatherhood through a reality TV show.
This was announced by director of local entertainment channels at M-Net Shirley Adonisi on Monday.
Adonisi said the reality series, Life With Moshe, will allow viewers time to rediscover the charismatic personality that Ndiki is, as he embarks on an exciting and transformational chapter of his life.
“Moshe’s story goes beyond the ordinary. As a black, gay man choosing the path of surrogacy to start his family, his decision challenges the dilemma of modern parenting pitted against traditional customs,” said Adonisi.
In the 13-part reality show, Moshe will show how he navigated the surrogacy journey.
“Viewers will not only witness the highs and lows of his journey but also be able to resonate with the universal themes of love, family, sacrifice, and the pursuit of dreams.
“From the joys of expecting twin boys, Life With Moshe promises to deliver hope, joy and determination. Moshe’s energy, charisma, and infectious optimism lights up the screen.”
Series provides answers to many questions
She added that the show will answer people’s questions on how this form of parenting works, how will traditional lineage and ancestral connection customs play out in this scenario, and Moshe’s dedication as he navigates therapy and seeks guidance from his ever-supportive mother.
“His interactions with close friends who stand by him through thick and thin will inspire you,” said Adonisi.
In March, Ndiki shared the exciting news that his surrogate was pregnant.
“I have no words over God’s mercy and love for me. For the past two years, I’ve tried to live and build a life where me and my child could be good, comfortable, safe, loved and God said because uyaphapha, bamba ama twins [because you’re too forward, here are the twins for you],” wrote the former Gomora actor.
“Me and my surrogate have been calling each other mzala we twins [the twins’ cousins]. It’s always surreal but we prayed over that term cause pregnancy is tricky, it’s sensitive and scary, she’s my real-life hero.
Life With Moshe is scheduled to premier on January 28 at 7.30pm on Mzansi Magic.
