Lasizwe brings spark, pride to sneakers event

One of South Africa’s premium sneaker brands Bathu hosted a luncheon to celebrate Pride Month with online content creator Lasizwe Dambuza. Shwa was of course invited to the luncheon at Ethos in Rosebank, where Dambuza spoke about inclusion, diversity and the journey of authenticity during Pride Month.

Gossip girl is all for Pride Month, which is a time to acknowledge the progress made in promoting LGBTQI+ rights, the ongoing struggle for equality, and to advocate for a world where every individual can live authentically, regardless of their sexual orientation or gender identity.

The month, which is clearly not celebrated much in Africa, is about recognising and appreciating the unique diversity that everyone brings to the table. Lungile Mcunu has proved again and again how much of a supportive and understanding brother he is. Shwa really hopes that in time people will be able to accept the LGBTQI+ community and stop being homophobes.

The Walk Your Journey event provided a platform for open discussions, reflections and the sharing of experiences that empower individuals to be true to themselves. Dambuza kept giving us shots while he is on an alcohol sabbatical. Did you perhaps want us to drink on your behalf or what was going on?

Shwa spotted songbird Lloyiso Gijana who is hardly out socialising with other stars. It was good to see you out, perhaps we should thank Dambuza for getting you out there in the social space. By the way what do you identify as?

Bob Sithole fondly known as Bobby Blanco also graced the event with his presence. Bobby what is the story? Are you really on good terms with Boity Thulo or have you guys decided to just walk your separate journeys? When are you also going to clear your name regarding claims that you were feeding Musa Khawula information about others?

Shwa also spotted Langa Muvuso, Buhlebendalo, Tumi Powerhouse, Phelo Bala, Leroy Marc and Yaya Mavundla.
