Karen Zulu never gate-crashed my birthday party – Trinity Ncala

Businesswoman Trinity Ncala stepped into 50 in style with dozens of celebrities and high-profile businesspeople at her private birthday celebration at the weekend.

The business maverick’s private party, held at the Johannesburg Country Club, amassed an impressive attendance including actress Rami Chuene, designer Gert-Johan Coetzee, businessman Edwin Sodi, and media personality and former Orlando Pirates footballer Teko Modise’s wife Koketso Chipane.

Speaking to Sunday World on Thursday, Ncala, who is also the mother of former Miss Teen SA Kat Ncala, said her party was a happy affair and a celebration of a big milestone.

“I had a beautiful day and really enjoyed myself,” said Ncala, who was clad in a custom-made all-white Gert ball gown.

She said the shindig was about her, noting that it was a private time with close friends and family.

Ncala also poured cold water over claims that actress Karen Zulu allegedly gate-crashed the birthday party to be by Sodi’s side.

She said she had nothing to do with her daughter and Zulu’s public fallout, noting that she remains hopeful that they will rekindle their friendship at some point.

“She [Karen] was invited. I do not know things she said about my daughter. They were friends and I am sure that they will sort it out,” she said.

The all-red-themed party was also attended by business executive Thabiso Ntshingila and his wife Bella.

Media personality-turned-businesswoman Ompemetse Molamu also graced the occasion with her presence.
