Lindiwe Dube heads for divorce as marriage to pilot crashes

Lindiwe Dube’s marriage to pilot Sibusiso Nxumalo has crumbled, with the sultry SuperSport presenter confirming to Sunday World that she is going through a divorce.

In a tweet on Friday, she said she is grateful for two things in her life, the birth of her son and leaving her toxic marriage.

“Yes, I am going through a divorce. That’s all I can say.” she tweeted.

It is alleged that Dube has been spotted lately without her wedding ring, and has even changed her surname.

Sources at SuperSport studios say they were alarmed when they noticed that the presenter had stopped putting on her wedding ring.

“I knew something was wrong when I saw her starting to use the Dube surname rather than Nxumalo, even on her social pages,” said a source.

“Now with her recent rants on her social pages, I think they’re heading for a divorce soon.”

Early this week, Dube ranted about the toxicity of her marriage to Nxumalo.

Another source said: “Their marriage was filled with nothing but sorrow, as they were continuously at loggerheads about their social lives as a married couple.

“At some point, she even went back to her parents’ house in Daveyton [east of Johannesburg].”

In January, the presenter shared that she was expecting a bundle of joy.

Her estranged husband went down on one knee at the top of Nambithi Hills in KwaZulu-Natal in 2021, where the lovebirds were on holiday.

The couple got married in March 2022, a year after the lovebirds started dating. Nxumalo popped the question seven months into their relationship.

Following the proposal, Dube posted on her social page and captioned the pictures: “Locked in for life … @FlyingZulu #FlyingToNxumalo.”

She previously told Sunday World that her husband was a very private person who made her happy.

In January, she wrote on social media: “I discovered I was pregnant a month before my husband’s birthday, I kept it a secret and planned to tell him in a few weeks.

“However, that proved to be a challenge, as my symptoms were noticeable.”
