Mabhuti Khenyeza’s baby mama is accused of dribbling her agent friend with Sibongiseni Mthethwa’s transfer fee from Stellenbosch FC to Kaizer Chiefs two months ago.
Zama Shelembe, who has a child with the Lamontville Golden Arrows coach, was asked by agent Tebogo Moloi of TM Scouts to assist in paperwork and negotiate Mthethwa’s, engagement with Chiefs over a possible transfer.
Moloi discovered Mthethwa during an off season tournament in Bergville four seasons ago and helped him secure a move to Royal Eagles, Black Leopards and later to Stellenbosch FC.
The KwaZulu-Natal-based agent said he was angry that Ms Shelembe went behind his back and sat alone at the negotiating table with Stellenbosch FC and Chiefs to facilitate the Bafana Bafana international’s deal.
“Since I’m busy with scouting many players, I decided to let her deal with paperwork with the understanding that when formal negotiations start I’ll be part of that as well. I believe a 20% fee is due to me since I discovered Mthethwa and at some stage I housed him while trying to secure him a club. I have since engaged with my lawyer to get what is due to me because she’s ignoring my calls,” said Moloi.
Ben Klaas from B Klaas and Associates said: “Our client TM Scouts just want to find out from the person who was appointed by TM Scouts to deal with the transfer negotiation from Black Leopards to Stellenbosch.
Whether the contract existed because it was an agreement between TM Scouts and her, that a clause be inserted into the agreement, that whenever Stellenbosch wanted to sell the player to any club, TM Scouts must be entitled to 20% of the transfer fee. This is not a claim but a fact.”
Moloi is a personal and business friend of Khenyeza as the former assists in the Arrows coach off-season programme. That’s how Moloi got to know Ms Shelembe.
