Pitso Dladla is the new coach of Marumo Gallants, the club announced on Thursday, saying that Ronald Moroka has been appointed as assistant coach.
Even though Gallants had a fantastic and eventful season, reaching the semi-finals of the CAF Confederation Cup, they were relegated to the Motsepe Foundation Championship after finishing at the bottom of the DStv Premiership last season.
Gallants has also confirmed the signing of 15 new players including former Maritzburg United goalkeeper King Ndlovu and Kaizer Chiefs striker Itumeleng Shopane.
Dladla has been a free agent after being axed by Richards Bay alongside Vasili Manousakis and Ronnie Gabriel at the end of last season.
Bahlabane ba Ntwa also unveiled their new kit with Umbro being the club’s official sponsor.
Club chairman Abram Sello confirmed that the club will play its home games at the Petrus Molemela Stadium in Bloemfontein.
Due to technical issues, Gallants will play their first few games at the Vaal University of Technology in Gauteng.
Closing off a media conference on Thursday, Sello made a surprise announcement of veteran administrator Sinky “Twalatsa” Mnisi as the new club CEO.
Mnisi has since put his head on the block and promised to take the club back to the DStv Premiership next season.
Mnisi was last on the books of Royal AM before he left in mysterious fashion after spending considerable time at home serving a suspension.
