Moyo revved-up ahead of lightweight bout against Fourie

Lancelot ‘Congo’ Moyo is oozing confidence and positive that he will make a statement win, when he goes toe-to-toe against number one ranked lightweight fighter Kaine Fourie at the at the Sun City Superbowl in Northwest on Saturday.

The Zimbabwean international is undefeated in four fights and holds a perfect knockout record of four wins in his previous four outings. His opponent, Fourie, is the number one contender in South Africa for the title.

Ahead of the bout, Moyo admitted that he encountered a lot of challenges building up to the fight, however, he is determined that nothing will stand in his way of coming out victorious.

“I have faced several challenges in my preparations, but apart from that, my training has been going well,” Moyo said.

“I’ve been engaged with good sparring partners, who have pushed me to the limit. So, I am confident that I will be able to withstand anything Kaine will be bringing to the ring come fight night.

“Fourie is a very exciting fighter but all I want to say, and I have said this before, I’m not the best but believe it or not, I am dangerous.”

The two fighters have a lot to fight for, as Moyo will be eager to maintain his undefeated winning streak, while Fourie will want to prove a point as he is the number one contender for the lightweight championship.

Despite the poise and high confidence, Moyo said he is anticipating a tough battle against the number one ranked boxer in the lightweight division.

“I am expecting a tough and exciting fight because he [Fourie] is going to want to prove why he is the best, while I will be going there to prove that I am dangerous,” Moyo added.

“With that said, expect fireworks come Saturday at the Super bowl in Sun City.”
