With the international break over and the English Premier League back in action, strugglers Burnley will be travelling to Nottingham Forest and will be banking on in-form South African striker Lyle Foster to bang in the goals and help them move up the league table.
Kick-off time is at 9.45pm tomorrow evening at the City Ground.
Foster is in scintillating form in his first season in the English top-flight and is currently Burnley’s top goal-scorer with two goals in three league matches so far this season.
The return of the Clarets to the EPL has been difficult under coach Vincent Kompany. They have lost all three of their opening games against Manchester City, Aston Villa, and Tottenham Hotspurs.
Burnley languishes at the bottom of the league table with zero points, but Foster has urged his teammates not to panic as they have a long season ahead of them.
“It’s a long season ahead, but I believe in this team. We are three games into the season, and we should not be pressing panic buttons,” Foster said recently.
“I’m enjoying myself and with the young team we have, we can only grow and learn more from this, especially the first three games, which were tough.”
The former Orlando Pirates talisman returns to Kompany’s set-up fresh from the international break in the City of Gold with Bafana Bafana and is on a goal-scoring momentum.
Foster was instrumental in Bafana’s hard-fought 1-0 win over DR Congo during their friendly match last week.
The 23-year-old netted the only goal of the match in the opening stages of the first half and was named the man-of-the-match.
He will be hoping to carry his goal with him back to Turf Moor and inspire the team to get their first win of the campaign.
Despite Burnley going into the game on the back foot and as underdogs, they know a thing or two and their way around beating Nottingham, after recently knocking them out of the Carabao Cup, when they edged past them 1-0 at the City Ground.
