Andiswa Tshefu is a business engagement manager for a well-known ICT company in Pretoria. Born in Thetheni village outside Mount Ayliff in the Eastern Cape, Tshefu is also the president of the Centurion Eagles Toastmasters Club, a non-profit organisation that focuses on teaching public-speaking and leadership skills through a worldwide network of clubs. The Centurion club is an entity of the Global Toastmasters International that was founded in the US in 1924. “Through my leadership at the club, many youngsters have found the confidence to speak up and be heard. I am gifted in critical thinking and planning, says Tshefu. “I use these gifts to support others in fulfilling their goals – be it in personal, educational or business spaces. I always strive to create an environment that promotes growth and success via mentorship. “I engage the youth through coaching and mentoring. This is my way of giving back to my people.”
