Kefilwe Morobane is an exceptional communications strategists, business coach and social entrepreneur who shines at helping other people, especially the youth, become effective communicators so they can run their own businesses and succeed in other areas in life. Morobane, 31, is the founder and managing director of Giving Wings, a company established in 2013 to provide strategic consulting, executive and business coaching and delivering keynote addresses on various business topics. “We are passionate about the value of effective communication skills for success. We spearhead high-quality and sustainable programmes for professionals, entrepreneurs, and underprivileged youth by equipping them with the knowledge, skills and tools that will propel them to success,” says Morobane. The company’s offshoot non-profit organisation – Giving Wings Youth – champions a youth development programme in the township, where learners in grade 10 and 11 are introduced to the fundamentals of entrepreneurship through seminars. Morobane, who was born and raised in Rustenburg in the North West, draws immense satisfaction from her work as a social entrepreneur. “Through Giving Wings Youth, it has been a joy to see young people apply the knowledge, skills, and tools that my team imparts to them to secure bursary opportunities after matric, start business ventures in their communities, spearhead social projects that address some of the socio-economic challenges in the townships, as well as secure phenomenal work opportunities that help break the cycle of poverty in their families.”
