The shooting happened at Bohlokong village near Bethlehem.
According to police, four people were shot in the streets near a tavern. Two victims of the shooting died on the spot while a third man sustained gunshot wounds.
Warrant Officer Mmako Mophiring said the four men were shot by three unknown suspects who allegedly opened fire without saying anything.
“Between midnight and 4.30am on Monday, a security guard arrived at the police station to report that a body of a person in his 30s was laying in the middle of the road in Bohlokong,” said Mophiring.
The police responded and identified the man as a known person in the area. He sustained three gunshot wounds.
“It was later discovered that the deceased wasn’t walking alone, but was with a friend who was also found dead on another street. He had no visible injuries on his body as inspected on the crime scene.
