Moja Love says V-Mash inspired team

Tributes continue to pour in for South Africa’s entertainment legend, Vinolia “V Mash” Mashego, who passed away on Friday.

V-Mash recently returned to television as the host on Moja LOVE’s ‘Bheka Sikubambile’, this after she had been on various TV shows such as Jam Alley, Generations, Isibaya and Giyani: Land of Blood.

Moja Love expressed their saddness at the passing of the well known ‘it girl’ and talented actress.

“Mashego’s warm, positive personality and consummate professionalism inspired the young team that she worked with. They consider it a blessing that she spent her final days in the industry with them. They are grateful that she shared her indefatigable optimism, wisdom and experience with them,” said MojaLove channel spokesperson, Bokani Moyo.

The channel confirmed that the show format Mashego had been presenting recently would be reworked and no one would be replacing her.

“Production is currently on hold due to the national lockdown so the team will have time to review the format before they start filming again. We will not be replacing Vinolia instead we will rework the format,” said Moyo.

It was announced on Monday that Mashego was found dead by her family.
Her father, Collins confirmed that the family had planned to have a intimate funeral on Good Friday, April 10.

“We as a family have decided to bury our daughter on Friday, also adhering to the new government regulations,” said Collins.

According to family she passed away on April 3, at her home in Mamelodi.
