University of Limpopo finds no record of slay queen pharmacist

Bogus pharmacist Nthabiseng Ramokolo has been exposed for faking her qualifications and medical lifestyle.

Boasting about her qualifications on social media, Ramokolo claims to have obtained a Bachelor of Pharmacy from the University of Limpopo’s School of Health Sciences.

She also tells her followers that she is pursuing a Master of Clinical Pharmacy and Pharmacology at the same university.

Ramokolo, who has been seen frequenting clubs wearing her scrub and coat with the university’s emblem, has since deleted some of her social media accounts including Instagram and Twitter, now called X.

Johannes Selepe, acting senior publications practitioner at the university, denied any knowledge of Ramokolo, stating that no one of that name has graduated from the faculty, neither is she known to be currently studying at the faculty.

He said Ramokolo’s claims that she is a master’s student are not true, as she cannot be detected from the university’s records of current and former students.

“The use of University of Limpopo, its name or logo by anyone to misrepresent their academic qualifications is unlawful,” said Selepe.

“The University of Limpopo reserves the right to take whatever action necessary to protect its reputation and the credibility of its qualifications.”

Professor Tebogo Mothiba, health and sciences faculty‘s executive dean, said the university does not take lightly any actions by anyone using its emblem or name for wrong reasons.

“The records of the university do not contain any information on Nthabiseng Ramokolo, and our faculty members, as well as current and former students, have confirmed that they never met her before,” said Mothiba.

The news follows the exposè of a bogus doctor known as Dr Matthew Lani, who claimed to have graduated from the University of Witwatersrand as a medical doctor.

The university issued a statement this week distancing itself from Lani and requested the fake doctor to retract any comment he made about the university.

The Health Professions Council of South Africa, joined the fray, declaring that Lani was not registered as a health practitioner.

According to the department of education in Gauteng, Lani does not have matric.

The department said he was once enrolled as a learner at Gresswold Learners with Special Educational Needs.
