All great achievements start with dreaming, right? That’s the case for Lethabo Motseleng, a 23-year-old whiz kid from Fourways in Johannesburg, who is living his dream life of recording memorable moments and people with his camera. He’s been a photographer since he was 16. Motseleng’s fascination with images began in childhood. “In primary school I used to take posters out of the middle of Drum magazine and stick them on my wall in my room. I always looked at these pictures in awe and wondered how the person in the image was so perfect,” says Motseleng. While in his teens, his father presented him with two cameras he still uses today. He also dabbles in filmmaking. But his most impressive achievement so far is a podcast he launched in May last year called Just Another Podcast to record people’s aspirations Two episodes are uploaded each month. “I use the podcast to shine a light on individuals who are chasing their dreams while also educating and inspiring my audience to live their own dreams.” His message to other young dreamers? “Your dreams are valid. Your dreams are within your reach. You just have to believe in yourself enough to reach out and touch them.”
