Buthelezi, who hails from KwaMashu, north of Durban in KwaZulu-Natal, has a BA (University of KZN), a project management diploma (UniSchool) and a Masters in Dance Knowledge (University of Roehampton, London in the UK) and is currently pursuing a PhD in Public Administration (Durban University of Technology). Buthelezi’s motto is: “Start where you are, with what you have, and gradually progress until you reach your ultimate goal. Stop making excuses for yourself. Sukuma manje (get up now).”
